Use cellular turnover treatment daily at bedtime for 2 weeks. Discontinue application 1 week prior to treatment.
Apply vitamin c serum at bedtime for 2 to 3 weeks.
Avoid sun exposure or tanning bed at least 4 weeks prior to treatment and during treatment process.
Do not exercise the day before or at least 48h’s after the treatment.
Avoid caffeine containing food or beverages on the day of your treatment.
Avoid medications such as: NSAIDS, cold remedies, vitamin E or aspirin 5 days prior to treatment..
Avoid Retin-A, chemical peel, injectable filler or Botox 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
Use sun block with a SPF 30+ with UVA/UVB Broad spectrum protection.
Start Arnica 3 days prior to treatment as directed.
Day of treatment west comfortable clothing. Your top should be button or zipped rather than pull of the head.
Notify me if you get cold sores. You will require an anti-viral prescription to avoid any breakouts after treatment.
If you have any open cuts, wounds, abrasions or during acne or cold sores breakouts, I cannot perform the procedure.
Eat a healthy diet, whole food vitamins and daily omega 3 fish oil. It is also advisable to take 1000mg of vitamin c and 1000 iu of vitamin D3. This ensures an increase in vitamins internally and externally and will greatly aid in the healing process.
Drink 8 glasses of water/non-caloric fluids per day.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT TO BE EXPECTED:
Day 1: Skin will be erythermatous (meaning exhibiting abnormal redness of the skin)) and flushed after thr treatment, depending on the intense of the treatment. pinpoint bleeding may occur. Do not apply makeup for at least 12h’s.
Day 2: A red or pink hue persists like moderate sunburn. Swelling and slight bruising may be more noticeable on the second day. Minor scratches may be visible. Apply moisturiser as needed.
Day 3: Skin can be pink or normal colour. Swelling subsides. The skin can feel dry or feel tight. A slight breakout of acne or milia (tiny white bumps) is possible. Light peeling usually occurs in about 3 days and will be replaced with brand new skin.
HOMECARE:
Refrain from touching the skin with your hands until the pores have had a chance to close. DO NOT PICK OR PULL THE SKIN. Any redness should of subsided over a 24h - 36h period.
Gently wash the treated areas on the same day, but do not rub or massage the face for 2 weeks. Cleanse using a mild cleanser such as CLINICCARE Concentrated cleansing foam. It is recommended that the soaps, other than those recommended by your practitioner, on the treated skin is restricted until the redness subsides and where possible lukewarm water and:/or gentle skin cleansers are to be used for cleansing. Do not scrub. Pat dry only with a clean towel.
Use of intensive moisturiser is advised for at least a week as your skin may feel drier or tighter after your treatment - this is quite normal.
Avoid facial products containing fragrance for 3-5 days after treatment as these may irritate the skin.
Make up can be applied once the skin has settled, but ensure all brushes and sponges have been cleaned.
Refrain from extreme temperatures such as intensive sun light, saunas, sun beds, steam bath for a period of at least 2 weeks after the treatment.
Apply a sunscreen with a SPF30+ (such as the CLINICCARE Sun shield silky cream SPF30 on a daily basis and with regular applications for a period of at least 2 weeks.
Avoid electrolysis, waxing, bleaching (face), depilatory creams, laser hair removal for at least 72h’s.
Do not swim in chlorinated water for approximately 14 days.
