The facial peel treatment also helps to lessen the appearance of dark areas on the face, which can be caused by hyper-pigmentation or age spots.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
WHAT IS A CHEMICAL SKIN PEEL?
The chemical skin peel is one of the oldest cosmetic procedures in the world. Today chemical skin peels are among the most popular and widely recognised methods of improving the health and appearance of the skin by removing dead skin cells and encouraging new ones to grow. Skin peel treatments are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to refresh itself by creating fresh new skin cells. They also stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to help target the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
HOW DOES A SKIN PEEL TREATMENT WORK?
Skin peel treatments make use of acids and enzymes to exfoliate away layers of the skin to reveal fresher, clearer, more youthful looking skin beneath the surface. The powerful blend of ingredients in skin peels work to visibly reduce the appearance of open pores, remove dead skin cells, target blemishes, acne and pigmentation, and visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is used all over the world to treat skin conditions such as fine line and wrinkles, acne, hyper-pigmentation and sun damage – the results can be life-transforming.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM MY SKIN PEEL TREATMENT?
A facial skin peel helps reduce:
Sun damage
Uneven pigmentation
Reduces the visible signs of ageing
Fine lines
Acne scaring
Brightens skin
For the increased results I advise you combine a course of peels with a course of microdermabrasion.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING AND AFTER MY SKIN PEEL TREATMENT?
Following an in-depth consultation, and a full facial cleanse. A non-toxic chemical solution is then applied to the skin surface and absorbed, before releasing the active acid component, which then works from within the skin. During the treatment you may experience some slight prickling and a heat sensation. You will be reassured through the whole process. This treatment can be used without any problems on the delicate areas around the lips and eyes. Some peels can lead to light swelling of the affected area or peeling of the skin for a few days after the procedure.
It is important to wear a high protection sun factor at all times after the peel as the newly exposed cells are delicate and easily damaged by the sun. With no redness or irritation, there is little or no downtime, so a peel can be fitted in around your normal daily routine. However, I would advise avoiding a facial peel pre-holiday as the treated skin must not be exposed to strong sunlight.
I will give you the advice you need on the right type of peel for you, devising a tailored treatment plan to achieve optimum results.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A CHEMICAL PEEL?
Treatment intervals for peels vary from 1 week to 4 weeks during a series of 4 to 6 treatments, and the interval is determined by the treatment intensity and sensitivity of your skin. Very superficial peels are commonly performed at the beginning of a series and treatment intervals are usually every 1-2 weeks, as the skin recovers rapidly from these treatments. More intense superficial peels are associated with a greater degree of exfoliation and require more time for the skin to regenerate. Problematic skin i.e acne or pigmentated may require a more prolonged treatment programme to optimise the treatment
